Hangover

is almost gone but the funk lingers. Except for the big thing… you know… POTUS… the republicans did much better than expected.  Hopefully Mitch will continue as Majority Leader but somehow even that doesn’t seem certain.  Of course now in Portland you can have cocaine on your Big Mac and heroin in your shake… (if you can find a McDonalds that hasn’t been burned to the ground) but at least they turned down affirmative action in California. The best news was the wasted millions poured into Florida by Bloomberg  and the hundreds of millions spent in vain in local representative races.  Except for local guys, everyone I voted for lost so I’ll be rioting and looting this afternoon.  Just hope I can loot a PS5…

So the count continues but I have given up hope.  We all know how the story ends… Oh look what I found in the van … How did we miss these…

Not sure how my contempt for the news interpreters and pollster could get any deeper.   I can’t make a stronger statement without violating all social norms.  Frankly I have little positive to say about even FOX news, except for the the conservatives on the Five and Tucker, the network is infested and infected…

So with that said, I’ll turn back to my lesson plan.  Going to talk theology this Sunday.  There was a fellow named Marcion back in the second century who believed in  two Gods:  an evil, vindictive Creator God of the Old Testament and a loving forgiving God of the New Testament.  I could draw up a couple of analogies but I am tired and need a nap…
