Twas the night before...

As I read and prepared material for the Sunday School lesson on Joseph, I found a lot to admire.  About this time, over 2000 years ago, Joseph was struggling through Christmas Eve traffic on route to a place where he had no reservations. Hopes for finding a place with a warm fire and maybe a small tree to decorate were slim to none. He had been on the road for days, traveling with a pregnant wife in very late term. Can’t even imagine the stress. I mean where does one find pickles and ice cream in those days…He was lucky if he found a bit of water.  About the time he found a cave to settle in for the night, her water broke… Now what…? Didn’t sleep for days what with the angels singing; the constant flow of shepherds with their sheep... and all of the visitors …  Then some days later, it was decided for him to take a vacation trip to Egypt… Again no reservations; the traffic was light but the roads were horrible.  Now he had a baby to travel with and no diapers… in fact no one had clothes for the Egyptian weather.  His travails continued, but what a man…

He raised the Son of God.
